Saharnaz Mirzazad
Currently serving as the Executive Director of ICLEI USA, Saharnaz has over twenty years of infrastructure, resiliency, and community development experience.
Saharnaz served as the Executive Director of State Planning and Policy Development with the California Governors Office of Planning and Research, where she oversaw development of state climate and environmental policies. Previously, she served as Deputy Director of Community Investment and Planning at the California Strategic Growth Council, where she oversaw investments of over 3 billion dollars in infrastructure programs and community-driven policy solutions. She collaborated with local governments to pilot innovative climate and equity initiatives, including the Transformative Climate Communities program.
