Charles Wee is the Founder, CEO, and inventor of LifeArk SPC, a patented modular housing platform engineered for full-spectrum disaster resilience. An accomplished architect with over 35 years of experience, Charles earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture from UCLA before beginning his career at AECOM, where he worked on large-scale international projects. In 1997, he established GDS Architects, which became one of the most active U.S. design practices in Korea, delivering dozens of high-rise and urban development projects. Drawing on this extensive architectural background, Charles created LifeArk to address the global housing crisis with scalable, sustainable, and dignified solutions for vulnerable communities. Today, he leads LifeArk’s mission to merge innovation, resilience, and social impact, redefining how architecture responds to climate change, disasters, and affordable housing needs worldwide.
