RCT Power Systems Division has delivered innovative power conversion systems for land-based, shipboard, airborne, and subsea applications, supporting demanding defense, aerospace, energy, and commercial sectors. Our core competency and value proposition is developing energy efficient, power-dense power conversion systems, in the kilowatt to multi-megawatt scale, that address complex, novel power and energy challenges for demanding applications and environments.  RCT is a small business that designs, builds, and integrates products and technologies in the areas of power electronics (including wide band gap, SiC), hybrid/ electric vehicles, renewable energy, motors/generators, and power systems architectures. RCT provides research & development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology products and systems for distribution, power conversion, and power systems for directed energy, such as tactical laser weapon systems and radar, as well as dual-use (commercial/defense) applications like motor drives, solid-state transformers, and hybrid/electric vehicle infrastructure. RCT has a unique on-site flexible test facility that includes a medium voltage (MV) safety cage and available input power of 6kVDC, 450VAC, 480VAC, 4160VAC, and 13.8 kVAC, all up to 500 kW. In addition to precision mechanical measurements and testing performed in the electronics laboratory, RCT Systems has the capability to functionally test and evaluate electromechanical components at scale. RCT has the ability to create a full system model, including plant parasitics, to test advanced controller designs with more insight into power system stability and increased system efficiency. RCT’s core competencies include (1) rapid prototyping and customization; (2) end-to-end solutions and support from design to deployment for multi-use applications with Government and commercial customers; (3) vertically integrated, spanning the entire product development value chain from engineering design, prototyping, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing, modeling, and post-delivery support capabilities; and (4) embedded rigorous quality controls with a focus on ISO 9001:2015 standards for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
