Who We Are

ModPadz is a pioneering force in modern modular and prefabricated living, born from a vision to harmonize sustainability, design innovation, and affordability. ModPadz draws on over a decade of experience in real estate, construction, and land development to deliver living spaces and structures that are both eco-friendly and architecturally compelling. 

Our founder, Nick , an ex-Air Force pilot turned entrepreneur with extensive experience in real estate and high-tech architecture, leads the company with a drive to solve the inefficiencies and costs inherent in traditional construction. Alongside partner Tom and a team of architects, designers, logistics experts, and craftsmen, we create structures that redefine what modular can look like.

All units are delivered completely built or in modular fashion (prefab, finished, & modular) which minimizes on-site work. We handle everything from selection → customization → delivery. 

Engineering, Sustainability & Standards

Our structures are designed to perform in four-season weather conditions, with:

• High-quality thermal insulation (e.g. polyurethane, insulated sandwich panels) for both hot and cold climates 

• Waterproofing, flood-proof/flood-ready windows/doors, proper drainage & materials to withstand precipitation, snow, and strong winds 

• Durable materials and finishes, thoughtful design for long-lasting performance and ease of maintenance 

Also, we strive for eco-friendly practices, use sustainable materials, and offer energy efficient systems and options.

How We Work

1. Selection: Customers choose one of our many modular/prefab designs (cabins, modules, etc.)

2. Customization: Interior and exterior finishes, layout, features are tailored per customer preferences.

3. Fully Built Delivery: Structures are built off-site and delivered complete, reducing construction time and site hassles.

4. Support through Delivery: Shipping, handling, delivery logistics are managed end-to-end. 

We also provide specifications, financing options, tariffs, and shipping info to aid in upfront clarity. 

Leadership & Team

• Nick – Founder & CEO. Brings real estate, architecture, and operational experience to lead ModPadz’s product innovation and design ethos.

• Sofia Martinez – Architecture student & marketing/design lead; she brings fresh creative energy to product aesthetics and digital presence. 

• Tom Brown focuses on buying and holding real estate. His first investment property was purchased in Laguna Hills, California in 2002. With additional California properties in the portfolio Thomas was able to leverage growth in California and by 2007 he sold a San Jose property and used a 1031 Exchange to acquire several properties in Tennessee. Now in 2024 Thomas has properties in California, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida with another investment property in Toronto, Canada.

• Jose Garcia – Logistics & operations. Ensures that the supply chain, shipping, delivery, and coordination run smoothly. 

Highlights & Projects

ModPadz has successfully delivered projects in many different settings, including:

• Eco-villages & cabin houses in Jacksonville, FL, Tampa, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Alabama, Utah, California, Canada, Puerto Rico, Carribean, Mexico, West Virginia, Nevada and Hawaii, and many more enroute.

• Office/collaborative workspaces in Atlanta using modular cabins 

• Coastal or scenic retreats, pool systems, backyard studios & Artist’s spaces, capsule houses in various climates.

We are also active in emergency housing, particularly for wildfire/disaster relief, using our modular units to bypass permitting delays in some areas, allowing rapid deployment where it’s needed most. 

Where We’re Headed

• Increasing standardization of US-friendly installation features, including pre-installed access panels, improved electrical/plumbing readiness, to reduce onsite adjustments and maintenance.

• Expanding our dealer network & customer service infrastructure to handle claims, support, and product feedback more efficiently.

• Enhancing sustainability credentials, exploring certifications, improving materials, and developing more off-grid / remote-location capable models.
